This subject introduces the principles and practice of basic financial management with emphasis on the financial and investment decisions faced by the management of companies in the pursuit of corporate goals.

The syllabus aims to guide students through the overview of managerial finance, understanding the need to know about various sources of funds and how to raise them from the financial markets. Throughout the course, the emphasis will also be placed on the basic paradigms in capital budgeting and working capital management.


This course is aimed at strengthening students’ study skills, and enhances their ability to use and apply research techniques to obtain information from reliable sources for their academic writing. It is also to assist students in becoming autonomous and reflective learners who will be able to use language and critical thinking strategies to cope with their academic workload

This module will able to prepare students to apply certain business skills and tools in business strategy formulation. Students will be knowledgeable in certain principles in business strategies which will help them in their career; especially for those who may involve in strategic and operational level for a business organization.


This subject introduces students to the fundamental principles of corporate law and regulations that cover the issues from formation of a company to its winding up. The topics covered include types of companies, process of incorporation, constitution of a company, management, capital raising and maintenance, receivership, reconstructions and winding up.


This module provides the student with an introduction to the theoretical and applied aspects of human resource management. It also examines the challenges facing human resource managers in contemporary organizations and the practices in a continually changing social, economic, industrial relations and organization environment.

This course will consider selected issues, law and practices of meeting relating to public meetings, local authorities like municipalities and town councils, registered societies and associations, company meetings involving the board of directors, shareholders or members general meeting, class meeting and statutory meeting.


This module introduces you to the fundamentals of business Law. All business students need to understand the basic knowledge of the legal aspects pertaining to business law in the commercial environment.


This subject focuses on the design and operation of costing systems and decision-making techniques for both manufacturing and service organisations. Students will be trained to develop a systematic approach in identifying, analysing, and solving problems that affect the firm’s revenues and costs; and the use of cost information for planning and controlling decisions


The aim of this course is to provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your learning experiences gained throughout the duration of the program in business management.
